    Description

Up for sale is a piece of American propaganda.  It is a bookmark on preventing forest fires during WWII (wood was a natural resource needed during war time).  It measures 7" long and was put out by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service.  I believe the caricature on the top represents the horrible, Prime Minister of Japan, Hideki Tojo.  The back shows many tips on how to prevent fires.
The bookmark is in good condition.  It shows some wear at the corners and on edges.  There is also a small crease at the bottom righthand corner on the front and a horizontal crease that runs the complete width across "Careless Matches".
Please write me if you have any questions or need to see more pics.  Thanks for looking.
