WWII Original 1944 Smokey the Bear Forest Fire Prevention Poster
I received this poster from my Grandfather. He served in World War ll.
I am offering an original WWII poster "Smokey Says - Care will prevent 9 out of 10 forest fires!" by Albert Staehle. This poster is from the year 1944 and measures roughly 14.25 x 20 inches.
This is a very rare poster which is the very first appearance of Smokey the Bear.
This poster is in very good condition with great color. It does have minor creasing, small tears, fold line wear, minor fold line separation (top, middle, bottom), minor marks / discoloration, and general wear. Please see all photos for the condition as the photos are part of the description.
I am not a collector, and do not claim to be knowledgeable at all about this poster.
I did extensive research about Mr. Albert Staehle, and Smokey Bear before listing this item.
