    Description

This is one of a group of
    ORIGINAL 1942-43 WAR NEWS POSTERS
issued daily by the DISPATCH PHOTO NEWS SERVICE OF NEW YORK during World War Two.  These often graphic posters showed the American public how the Allied Forces were doing in the early campaigns on multiple fronts.  They were, of course, created to raise morale even in difficult days.  The posters were publicly displayed (usually in glass cases specifically designed for them) at newsstands, public buildings, schools & libraries, factories and other places on a subscription basis.  Each of these is slightly trimmed at the top, which likely had a local advertisement.  Each is approximately 14 3/4" tall and 14" wide; they are printed on slick paper and are whiter than the photos depict.  NOT REPRINTS; THESE ARE AUTHENTIC WARTIME POSTERS.
    Offered here is
"YOU JUST DON'T HOLD YOUR HEAD HIGH IN SUCH A PLACE",
    depicting scenes from early 1943
.  See caption for full description.
See photos for a closer look.   Modest wear from normal use.
