Wonderful WWII US war poster -- "Japanese Army Uniforms"
This great wartime poster was put out to serve as an indispensable guide for knowing one's enemy...in this case, the Japanese Army. This full-color poster covers all types of Japanese uniforms, gear, headgear, and even footwear, of both officers and enlisted soldiers. Such posters were important for GIs, so that they could properly identify enemy soldiers.
This poster was put out by Newsmap, for the US Army. Probably
dates to around 1942 or '43.
Overall nice condition, with some very light wear and a few minors crinkles. Nice colors; no sun damage or fading. Would frame up nicely, or could display as is. Measures 23.5" x 17.25".
Perfect poster for the war-room, especially for anyone interested in the South Pacific theater, or Japanese army. A very seldom encountered poster! Ample photos posted.
