    Description

    You're bidding on a rare-to-find, WWII period poster - 22" x 28" size - promoting Defense Savings Stamps. Creased as published. "Save For Security - Buy Defense Savings Stamps Here ...this store makes Savings Stamps available to encourage thrift and aid our country's defense". Red, white, blue and silver design motif, featuring a graphic of the Minuteman statue at Concord, MA.
    Defense Savings Stamps were an option for people with less disposable income to contribute to the war effort - you could buy them in smaller denominations and save them up until you had accrued enough to exchange for a War Bond.
    Note some issues of condition with the poster - mainly a horizontal tear of about 3" along the center crease at left edge, with a spot of paper loss. Also, a bit of light spotting in the bottom-right corner area, and some smaller, minor marks and scuffs in other spots. Overall bright, clean presentation, though - and an early poster, scarce to find in any condition.
