This original
1946 GENE AUTRY SCHOOLROOM POSTER PROMOTING BROTHERHOOD & UNITY
was prepared and distributed by SCHOLASTIC MAGAZINES in the wake of WWII.  It is from a group of 12 "SPEAKING OF AMERICA" posters featuring American entertainers, politicians and military leaders.  They are all focused specifically on teaching children about the importance of racial, religious and ethnic tolerance in post-war America.  Each poster is 11" wide and 14" tall, and each carries a different message with the facsimile signature of the pictured individual.  The other 11 posters in the set are posted separately as individual ebay listings.  They were all found in the original envelope which is NOT included in this lot ~ but I have included an image of the mailing label and the postmark dated MAY 22, 1946.
